Conversion to the typography
Christmas 94, Damascus, Syria. In a small bookshop, I read the Graphic design + designers published by  Thames & Hudson. Opening the page 189, I discovered that the Times New Roman was created in 1931 by Stanley Morison for the Times newspaper...
Omayyad Mosque, Damascus
Bibliothèque orientale, Beirut
1995, Beirut, Lebanon.
Then began my quest for information about typefaces, historiy of printing and writing. I visited the libraries of Beirut especially the Bibliothèque orientale and the library of the American University.

First typographic experiences

From 1994 to 1996, I managed the design and the layout of the luxurious college newspaper.
In 1997, looking for my first job, I began a MA in political science. Subject of the thesis: the political role of the printing in the centuries of the Reform.
The 1st January 1999, I launched my first web site (in French) dedicated to the history of printing: Typographie & Civilisation
